hello 🖖🏼

working at the intersection of social impact, community, AI & technology

{Always Bet On Yourself}

Respect the game enough to master the rules & yourself enough to smash them.

I’m a community engineer.

I build community inside companies & measure engagement outside companies.

My community work was a baptism of fire in post-Soviet Ukraine in the early 1990s. It’s since taken me across the globe: human trafficking hotspots across Asia, government planning in Colombia, faith-based communities in Africa, global NGOs in the EU, and corporate consulting in North America.

My Story

Founder at Glocal | Former UN GIFT, Mizzou T&F 96, Akron Kid, Liberal, Nomad. Lover Of The Underdog, Mover of Mountains.

Long: I grew up in a trailer park in the small town of Doylestown, just outside of Akron Ohio USA. I was the first person in my family to attend university.

I’ve been in Berlin to witness the Berlin Wall fall, lived in the USSR during its final implosion, consulted on UN projects, started a decade-long successful charity, and founded a social impact tech company.

As a lifelong community worker & brand builder, I’ve become a resource for organizations looking to maximize their local impact while building healthy community culture within.

As a former professional runner and graduate of the University of Missouri, I live the athlete mindset of betting on yourself. I’ve provided a sounding board, empathetic listening, brainstorming, and brand-building ideas for athletes looking to expand their brand with charities. Athletes are my people. I feel at home amongst them and love to help them grow their brands.

Personally, I love to travel for work, see the world and meet new people. At my core, I’m just a nomad with a little bit of Midwestern USA flavor. I’m liberal, and inclusive, and have learned I’m just a tiny thread in a large beautifully diverse human fabric. I’m most alive when I’m working on systems that ‘build a better us’.
